The Kingdom of Heaven

Marriage Invitation for the Son

Matthew 22:1-14 Part I

And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parables, and said, The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son; And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding, and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come unto the marriage, but they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.

Questions:

What is a parable?

A parable is a mystery Luke 8:9-10

A parable is “a dark saying of old”. Psalms 78:2

Read and Study Matthew chapter 13

Note:  Matthew 13:13-15 records why Yahshua spoke to the Jews (short for Judah the fourth son of the patriarch Israel Genesis 35:23) in parables, because His statement was already prophesied within the Book of Isaiah, who was a Prophet of YHVH.  Yahshua taught from the Law, the Prophets and Psalms.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:9 (KJV)

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  John 3:11-21 (KJV)
