Now Peter and John went up together into the Temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour; and a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the Temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; who seeing Peter and John about to go into the Temple asked alms.

Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, look on us; and he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

He took him by the right hand and lifted him up; and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. He leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising GOD. All the people saw him walking and praising GOD; and they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the Temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement, at that which had happened unto him. As the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. Acts 3:1-11 (KJV)

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:11-21 (KJV)
