Personal Prayer
Holy Father, I come to you in the Name of Yahshua, asking that you will open up my understanding, to understand your Holy Word, and that my ears will be attuned to hear when you are speaking to me. Amen
After being empowered by the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8), Yahshua’s disciples became empowered witnesses to carry the Gospel throughout the world! The disciples had the right kind of faith that was solely dependent upon Yahshua, and their obedience to the CHARGE they had been given. The apostles believed in the Son of the One True and Living GOD, and believed that the Father sent His Son into the world (John 3:16). In addition, the apostles tarried in Jerusalem, believed and received the Promise of the Holy Spirit.
Brief Biblical Historical:
The 12 Apostles were all Jews (short for Judeans) of the land of Israel. The 12 Apostles were descendants of Abraham, whose son was Isaac (the promised son) who married Rebekah and bore Isaac twin sons, of the two sons, Jacob was chosen to inherit the promises of GOD. Jacob’s name was later changed by GOD to Israel.
Fast forwarding to King David, whose son Solomon reigned as King of Israel, after David’s death. After Solomon’s death, his son Rehoboam reigned as King over Israel. Because of Rehoboam’s refusal to heed wise counsel, the land of Israel split into two kingdoms. The northern kingdom had 10 tribes with Jeroboam as their king, who became apostate and idolatrous; and the people became the same way; and Eventually succumbed to the wrath of GOD, and were literally vomited from the Promised Land and dispersed via the ruthless Assyrians. Judah and Benjamin made up the southern kingdom (remnant), hence the name Jews short for Ju-dah, who later became apostate and idolatrous which resulted in their being vomited from the land via the ruthless Babylonians.
