Third Attribute of Faith
II Peter 1:5-11
The third attribute is to add temperance to knowledge. In other words, do not become puffed up with an abundance of knowledge. One must be wise to win souls. Paul was a highly educated man, but never allowed his vast education to impede upon the ministry given to him, by Yahshua. Paul’s education wasn’t influenced by lofty words that would bring glory to himself. He knew when to speak, how to speak, what to speak and where to speak the Word of YHVH, led, directed and guided by the Holy Spirit, which Yahshua spoke about in John chapter 16 and Acts chapters 1-2
Apostle Paul
My speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power; that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but the Power of GOD. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect; yet not the wisdom of this world, or of the princes of this world, that come to nought, but we speak the wisdom of GOD in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which GOD ordained before the world unto our glory, which none of the princes of this world knew, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the LORD of GLORY. It is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love Him. I Corinthians 2:4-9 (KJV)
Since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O GOD, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waits for him. Isaiah 64:4 (KJV)
