Do not Faint Do not Faint Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 (KJV) Note: An eagle knows when it is time for strength to be renewed. They know when it is time for the removal of dead weights i.e. dead feathers. The eagle’s weighty and useless feathers are removed, which causes the eagle to be able to soar with ease. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God. Consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Hebrews 12:1-3 (KJV) |
