Hear the Conclusion of the Whole Matter

(King Solomon’s Book of Ecclesiastes)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.   Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)

Note:  After writing the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon came up with the above conclusion regarding the whole duty of man.  Remember King Solomon was wiser than any man before and after him, and had countless luxurious riches, yet found no solace.

Also, remember the following scriptural verse:

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good. Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV)

Behold, the heaven and the Heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is. Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart and be no more stiffnecked.   Deuteronomy 10:12-16 (KJV)

….Man doth not live by bread only, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)

  • Matthew 4:4

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  John 3:11-21 (KJV)
