Sweet Hour of Prayer Mini Story #1

Prayer Heard & Answered

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia, and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before GOD, walking in ALL the commandments and ordinances of the LORD blameless. They had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before GOD in the order of his course, according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the LORD.

The whole multitude of people were praying without at the time of incense; and there appeared unto him an angel of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of incense. When Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him, but the angel said unto him, fear not, Zacharias; for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. He shall be Great in the sight of the LORD, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the LORD their GOD. And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the LORD.

Observation:  Zacharias & Elisabeth were righteous before the LORD

Situation:  They were childless and had become old

Task:  Zacharias is of the tribe of Levi and serves in the temple (it was his time to perform the custom of the priest’s office e.g. burn incense).

Zacharias’ Visitation:  An angel of the LORD presented Zacharias with astounding news!

Result:  Zacharias & Elizabeth’s prayer was heard and answered

Question:  Is anything too hard for the LORD?  Answer:  NO!!!

Thank you, Thank you LORD!!!

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  John 3:11-21 (KJV)

The Conclusion: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
YHVH has spoken in these last days by whom? Hebrews ch. 1
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9:5 (KJV)
