Yahshua said Watch and Pray Always; Why?
Read Luke chapter 21:5-36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36 (KJV)
Questions: Escape what things?
Read Luke 21:5-36
Let us begin with the admiration of the Temple, by Jesus’ disciples.
Jesus went out, and departed from the Temple (He had previously been inside the Temple warning against hypocritical teachers and their behavior and pronouncing woes upon same), and His disciples came to Him for to show Him the buildings of the Temple; and Jesus said unto them, see ye not all these things (the Temple and its ornate features)? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. Matthew 24:1-2 (KJV)
Note: Previously and during the time of Jesus, Rome was the world power; and utterly destroyed the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. No stone was left upon another.
Jesus’ Disciples
And they asked Him, saying, Master, when shall these things be? What sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? Luke 21:6-7 (KJV)
Note: Jesus’ disciples asked two questions:
- When shall these things be?
- What sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
