Job Counters the Unrighteous Counsel of his Friends

YHVH was not pleased with Job’s friend’s counsel

read Job 42:7-9

Moreover, Job continued his parable, and said, As GOD lives, who has taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; All the while my breath is in me, and the Spirit of GOD is in my nostrils; my lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.  GOD forbid that I should justify you; till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

My righteousness I hold fast and will not let it go.

My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that rises up against me as the unrighteous. What is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when GOD takes away his soul?  Will GOD hear his cry when trouble comes upon him, will he delight himself in the Almighty, will he always call upon GOD? Job 27:1-10 (KJV)

Note:   Job’s friends appeared as if they were giving good advice, but it was not the truth nor appropriate for Job’s situation.  In the last chapter of the Book of Job, GOD is not pleased with the counsel of Job’s friends.  Let all of us be led by the Holy Spirit of the One True and Living GOD, and ask for His direction, when offering advice or counseling.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.  John 3:11-21 (KJV)

The Conclusion: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
YHVH has spoken in these last days by whom? Hebrews ch. 1
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9:5 (KJV)
